Joclyn Fada

Joclyn Fada joined the Cleveland State staff in the fall of 2019.

Fada came to CSU after having spent 18 seasons as an assistant coach at perennial Ohio power Elyria High School. She assisted in all aspects of the program, which consistently ranked among the top 10 Division I teams in the state.

In her time at Elyria, Fada helped the Pioneers to 10 state Final Fours and three state titles along with a combined record of 454-80 (.850). She was honored in 2009 by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as it named the Elyria staff as the North Region High School Coaching Staff of the Year.

Fada coached over 40 players in high school that went on to play in college, including 18 that went on to the Division I level. She also had served as an assistant coach for the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches’ Association Underclass Team.

Fada earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Bowling Green in 1998 and proceeded to graduate from Ashland with a Master of Education in Sport Education in 2003. She resides in Elyria with her husband, Chris, and her daughters, Madelyn and Sophie.
