Kyler Adds Albaugh to 2022 Roster

Cleveland, Ohio – Cleveland State softball head coach Amy Kyler has announced the signing of Brooke Albaugh.

"Brooke has a strong presence at the plate with a big bat," said Kyler. "She will certainly add depth to our solid outfield. Academically, Brooke will enhance our team GPA and strengthen our overall academic success as a team. We can't wait to have her here."

Albaugh, a senior at Tuscarawas Valley High School, plays outfield, middle infield and pitcher. The 5-5 righty was named second team IVC her freshman season (2018) and in her sophomore campaign (2019), was awarded Best of Tuscarawas Preps, First Team IVC, Offensive Player of the Year, Most Runs and Highest RPG in a season. During the 2019 season, Albaugh helped lead the Trojans to an OHSAA DIII sectional championship.

"I chose Cleveland State for their educational opportunities, unique campus and culture the softball program has created," Albaugh said.

A member of the National Honors Society and Honor Roll, the Bolivar, Ohio native is a member of the varsity club and ski club. Outside of Tuscarawas Valley High School, Albaugh has volunteered at a hospice kids camp and completed a mission trip to the Dominican Republic.

Albaugh is the daughter of Kris, a chemistry teacher, and Jill, a hospice nurse.
