Opening Whistle
The Cleveland State women's soccer team returns home on Sunday, hosting Northern Kentucky at 1 p.m. for Alumni Day. The Vikings are looking to get back to .500 in Horizon League play after dropping their most recent game on Thursday evening.

Last Time Out
The Vikings gave up a late goal in the 85th minute against reigning Horizon League Champions, Milwaukee on Thursday evening, falling 1-0.

Each team has four wins in the eight-game series with Northern Kentucky winning the last two contests. NKU hasn't traveled to Cleveland since 2018 when the Green and White pulled out a 2-1 overtime victory.

About the Norse
Northern Kentucky picked up their first victory of the season at home on Thursday against IUPUI, 3-0. Prior to that, the Norse were 0-5-1. NKU has scored just three goals all year with all three coming last game. Emilie Doersching tallied two of them and Shannon Crogan had the other. Mickayla Kowalski has appeared in the most games in net, making 18 saves.

Preseason Poll
The Cleveland State women's soccer team was selected to finish fourth in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, as voted upon by league head coaches, the Horizon League announced on Wednesday.

Oakland topped the Horizon League poll with five first-place votes for 115 points, while reigning HL Champions, Milwaukee came in second with five first-place votes and 108 points.
