CLEVELAND, Ohio - A near-post finish by Elena Gutlove in the 105th minute of the second overtime period sent Cleveland State to a 2-1 victory over visiting Wright State on Wednesday afternoon at the Krenzler Bubble.

THE GAME
Cleveland State came out firing, logging four attempts at Raiders keeper Jessika Seward within the opening 10 minutes. Seward was up to the task, keeping the Vikings off the scoresheet in the first half while making seven saves.

Wright State broke the scoreless tie in the 33rd minute when Sydni Callahan found the back left corner of the net on a shot from the right side of the 18.

Cleveland State answered at 75:55 of the second frame when Kathryn Ramicone took a short pass from Gutlove off a corner and sent a cross into a crowded box. Maddie Young was able to get a foot on the ball for her first tally as a Viking.

Through two halves, Cleveland State racked up 24 shots, forcing Seward into 11 saves. The Vikings also generated 10 corners compared to three for the Raiders.

With fewer than five minutes remaining in the contest, Maria Bashardoust saved a long ball from rolling out of bounds on the right side before pushing into the attacking third. Bashardoust's ensuing cross to the back post found Gutlove, who was able to sneak a low shot underneath the arm of a diving Seward for a 2-1 Vikings win.

Cleveland State goalkeeper Stevie Holbrook stopped six of seven shots on goal, including a save in the first overtime period. The victory evened Holbrook's record at 1-1-0 on the young season.

The physical match featured 25 fouls and three total yellow cards in addition to a red on Wright State's Mincy Kaley midway through the second half.
