SETTING THE STAGE: Cleveland State will close the regular season with a Horizon League road match at Wright State on Friday (Nov. 1) at 7 p.m. at Alumni Field at Rinzler Student Sports Complex. The Vikings will need a victory against the Raiders and a Northern Kentucky loss or tie to secure a berth in the Horizon League Tournament.

HORIZON LEAGUE STANDINGS: Cleveland State currently occupies the seventh position in the Horizon League standings...The top six teams in the regular season standings will advance to the Horizon League Tournament...The Vikings trail Northern Kentucky by two points in the race for the final tournament spot...Cleveland State owns the tiebreaker over Northern Kentucky by virtue of a 3-0 win...If the Vikings defeat Wright State they would finish the regular season with 13 points....Northern Kentucky finishes the season at Detroit Mercy on Friday (Nov. 1).

HORIZON LEAGUE TOURNAMENT: The top six teams in the regular season standings will advance to the Horizon League Tournament...The tournament will begin on Nov. 4 with the No. 3 seed hosting the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed hosting the No. 5 seed...The semifinals of the tournament will be held on Nov. 7 and the championship will determined on Nov. 9...The top seed for the tournament will host the semifinals and championship.

ON THE ROAD TO CLOSE THINGS OUT: Cleveland State closed the regular season by playing four of its final five matches on the road...The Vikings have a 3-4-1 record away from Krenzler Field.

AMAZING GRACE: Cleveland State freshman Grace Krosky scored a pair of goals in the Vikings 3-0 victory at Northern Kentucky to become the 21st player in school history to register two goals in a match...Krosky scored a goal in each period to lead the Vikings to the win...Her first goal, which proved to be the game winner, came off a Cleveland State corner kick...She capped the scoring in the second half with a one-touch blast from distance.

HORIZON LEAGUE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Cleveland State freshman Grace Krosky was rewarded for her play against Northern Kentucky by being selected as the Nike Horizon League Co-Offensive Player of the Week...She became the first Viking to win Offensive Player of the Week honors this season and joined Stevie Holbrook (Defensive Player of the Week) as Cleveland State players to be recognized by the league this season.

TWO FIRSTS: Cleveland State freshmen Rylee Bussen and Grace Krosky each scored their first career goals in the Vikings tie with Oakland...The duo helped the Vikings rally for a 2-2 draw.

VERSUS WRIGHT STATE: This will mark the 17th all-time meeting between Cleveland State and Wright State with the Raiders owning an 11-4-1 advantage...Wright State has a 6-1 advantage in games played in Dayton and lead the series in Cleveland by a 5-3-1 margin...Cleveland State defeated Wright State 1-0 last season on Krenzler Field...Wright State defeated the Vikings 1-0 in the last game played in Dayton in 2017...Cleveland State head coach Dallas Boyer is 1-1 all-time against Wright State.

MCKENNA MAGIC: Cleveland State freshman McKenna Donahue became the 20th player in Cleveland State history to tally two goals in a match in the Vikings 3-0 victory at Green Bay...Donahue scored the first two goals of the match to lead to the Vikings to the victory.

ALL-TOURNAMENT VIKINGS: Cleveland State's Elena Gutlove and Kailah Ransom were each named to the all-tournament team at the UTSA Tournament.

HORIZON LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Cleveland State's Stevie Holbrook was named the Nike Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 26...It marked the second time in her career she has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors from the league.

GOOSE EGGS: Cleveland State junior keeper Stevie Holbrook has turned in six shutouts this season, which ranks fourth in the Horizon League.

LAST TIME OUT: Cleveland State dropped a 3-0 decision to UIC in Chicago on Oct. 27...The Flames scored a goal in the first period and then added two goals in the second period...Stevie Holbrook made four saves for the Vikings, while Miranda Thomas made three saves...Briana Niedermeier had two shots to lead Cleveland State...Grace Grant, Essence Canady, Helena Novatsidis, Elena Gutlove, Megan Bine and Toni Dickson each finished with one shot.

IN THE PRESEASON: Cleveland State played a pair of exhibition matches in the run up to the season opener...The Vikings tied Buffalo 1-1 at Buffalo on Aug. 12...Cleveland State dropped a 2-0 decision to Duquesne at Krenzler Field on Aug. 16...Freshman McKenna Donahue scored the Vikings goal against Buffalo.

HORIZON LEAGUE POLL: Cleveland State was selected to finish third in the Horizon League Preseason Poll as selected by the league head coaches...The Vikings received two first-place votes and finished with 73 points...Defending Horizon League champion Milwaukee was tabbed as the league favorite, while Northern Kentucky was chosen to finish second in the poll.
