Krosky Named Horizon League Co-Offensive Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State freshman Grace Krosky has been selected as the Nike Horizon League Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday.

Krosky shared the award with Milwaukee's Julia Barajas.

Krosky led the Vikings to a critical road win at Northern Kentucky in their only match of the week.

She tallied two goals to lead Cleveland State to a 3-0 victory over the Norse. She scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the first period and then added a second-period goal to increase the score to the final margin.

Krosky became the 21st player in school history to score two goals in a match and the second this season. Freshman McKenna Donahue scored two goals in the Vikings road win at Green Bay earlier this season.

Krosky becomes the second Vikings player to earn weekly honors from the Horizon League as Stevie Holbrook was named the Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 26.

Cleveland State returns to action on Oct. 19 when it visits IUPUI for a Horizon League match at 1 p.m.
