THE OPENING KICK:
• Cleveland State will continue its three-match homestand this weekend, hosting Green Bay at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6.
• The Vikings enter this weekend's contest with a 7-4-1 record on the year, including a 3-0-1 mark in #HLWSOC play.

HORIZON LEAGUE PLAY:
• Under head coach Dallas Boyer the Vikings own an 8-4-1 record in regular season Horizon League matches.
• Last week, the Vikings picked up a pair of shutout victories against Youngstown State (2-0) and UIC (1-0) to remain undefeated in #HLWSOC play.
• After three weeks of league action, the Vikings are tied for second in the league standings, just two points out of first place.

BEST #HLWSOC START IN PROGRAM HISTORY:
• Entering this weekend's matchup against Green Bay, the Vikings are off to their best #HLWSOC start in program history, owning a 3-0-1 mark through four league matches. 
• Cleveland State's previous best start in league play came during the 2015 season, when the Vikings went 3-0 to start the #HLWSOC campaign before dropping their first league contest.

LAST WEEK:
• Cleveland State posted back-to-back shutouts against Youngstown State and UIC, picking up a 2-0 victory at YSU and earning a 1-0 overtime win against the Flames.
• The UIC win marked the fifth victory at Krenzler Field for the Vikings this season, as they now stand at 5-1 when playing at home this year.
• Saturday's contest marked the third overtime match for the Vikings this season, as they now stand 2-0-1 in overtime matches this year and 14-8-13 all-time.

CLEVELAND STATE VS. GREEN BAY:
• Saturday's match against Green Bay will be the 15th meeting all-time between the two teams, with the overall series tied at 7-7.
• Entering Saturday's contest the Vikings have won five out of the last six meetings, including a 3-2 victory last year.

FREE KICKS:
• Head coach Dallas Boyer, in his second season in the top spot, has been on the coaching staff for 12 of the 15 seasons in program history.
• Cleveland State enters the week as one of three remaining unbeaten teams in the Horizon League, joining Milwaukee (4-0-0) and Northern Kentucky (3-0-1).
• As a team, the Vikings enter the week ranked second among league teams with 20 total goals this season, while they also rank second averaging 1.67 goals per game.
• With last Saturday's goal against UIC, the Vikings eclipsed the 20-goal mark for the season for the ninth time in program history, and with at least five more matches this season, the Vikings are closing in on the program record for single-season goals (28 in 2014).
• After converting the game-winner against UIC last weekend, McKenna Vento is tied for first in the league standings with five total goals this year, while she also moved into sole possession of seventh place in the CSU Career Record Book with 11 career goals.
Dani Sowinski continues to sit second among league players with six total assists on the year, and is just one helper shy of tying the program record for single-season assists (7 set by Lisa Conway in 2006).
Stevie Holbrook enters the weekend with 43 total saves on the year, and ranks second in the Horizon League with a .811 save percentage.
