INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Cleveland State University junior Ashley Knight has been named to the 2020 GEICO Horizon League Women's Golf All-Academic Team, as selected by the league's faculty representatives and announced by the league on Friday.
Knight, a junior majoring in Health Sciences / Pre-Physician Assistant, owns a 3.75 GPA. A five-time member of the Dean's List, Knight has competed in every tournament for the Vikings this past season, notching a 77.1 stroke average. "I am very proud of Ashley and her work that she puts in daily in the classroom as a student-athlete here at Cleveland State," said women's golf head coach Taylor Riggs. "As she works toward her future career in the medical field, it is so impressive to see her balance academics with athletics and be successful in both aspects. It's a joy as a coach to work alongside a student-athlete like Ashley Knight "
