Cleveland State Women’s Basketball Announces Promotions For 2022-23 Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State Athletics Department has announced the promotional schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 women's basketball season, which is slated to get underway on Monday, November 7. 

The Vikings will kickoff their 14-game home slate against Hofstra on Saturday, November 12, with a pre-game WBI Finalist Banner Unveiling. In addition, Cleveland State will also partner with Viking Vets – the on-campus Veteran Student Success Program – for Salute To Service

Next up will be Vikesgiving Basketball Weekend, when Cleveland State hosts the Hampton Inn Cleveland Downtown Viking Invitational Wednesday, November 23 through Saturday, November 26. Viking fans are invited to spend the holiday week at the Wolstein Center with six games slated over the four-day span.

Cleveland State will then open its #HLWBB slate in early December, hosting Oakland on Friday, December 2 with a T-Shirt Giveaway and CSU Student Wellness Night.

Ring In The New Year as Cleveland State hosts Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday, January 6, then help us White Out Wolstein with a T-Shirt Giveaway on Thursday, January 12 when the Vikings welcome Milwaukee. 

New for the 2022-23 season will be Youth Basketball Day when the Vikings host Green Bay on Saturday, January 14, with Kids Zone activities, inflatables and a halftime youth game. 

The annual Health & Education Day will return on Thursday, February 2 when the Vikings host Robert Morris, with a special 11:00 a.m. tip and pre-game concourse activities for Cleveland area school children.  

Cleveland State will once again be hosting a National Girls & Women in Sports Day on Saturday, February 4 when the Vikings welcome Youngstown State to the Wolstein Center, in addition to Rising Coaches: Equity & Inclusion Day.

On Thursday, February 16 Cleveland State will host Northern Kentucky in its annual Cancer Awareness game. This will also be Cleveland Rocks day, with 216 free bags of popcorn to celebrate the CLE.

The Vikings will then close out their regular season home slate with Senior Day and Alumni Weekend on Saturday, February 18 when they host Wright State with the return of the popular bucket hat giveaway.   

Admission to all Cleveland State women's basketball games is free for everyone.
