2019-20 #HLWBB Schedule Released

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – With the 2019-20 women's basketball season right around the corner, the Horizon League announced the league matchups for the upcoming season Wednesday afternoon, with Cleveland State beginning #HLWBB play in late December.

The 18-game league slate combined with Cleveland State's non-league schedule which was released last month, gives head coach Chris Kielsmeier a full 29-game lineup for the 2019-20 season.

For the third time out over the last four years the Vikings will open league play at home, as Cleveland State will host UIC (Saturday, December 28) and IUPUI (Monday, December 30) to kickoff the #HLWBB slate.

The Vikings will then hit the road to begin the new calendar year at Wright State (Thursday, January 2) and Northern Kentucky (Saturday, January 4), before returning home for a single game against Youngstown State (Friday, January 10).

Cleveland State will then return to the road for a pair of games against Detroit Mercy (Thursday, January 16) and Oakland (Saturday, January 18), before hosting Milwaukee (Friday, January 24) and Green Bay (Sunday, January 26) to close out the first half of league play.

Kielsmeier and the Vikings will begin the second part of #HLWBB play on the road, traveling to IUPUI (Thursday, January 30) and UIC (Saturday, February 1), before welcoming Northern Kentucky (Thursday, February 6) and Wright State (Saturday, February 8) to the Wolstein Center.

Next up for the Vikings will be a trip to Youngstown State (Saturday, February 15), while they will host Oakland (Friday, February 21) and Detroit Mercy (Sunday, February 23) in the final homestand of the year.

The Vikings will then hit the road once again to close out the regular season, traveling to Green Bay (Thursday, February 27) and Milwaukee (Saturday, February 29) to conclude the 18-game league slate.

The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championship will begin with First Round games on Tuesday, March 3 and Quarterfinal contests on Thursday, March 5 – both of which will be hosted at campus sites. The Semifinals and Championship will take place in Indianapolis, Ind. on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10.
