Crockett Picks Up Third #HLWBB Freshman Of The Week Honor

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following her sixth double-double of the season against Bradley last time out, Cleveland State women's basketball rookie Savanna Crockett has been named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week.

This marks the third Freshman of the Week honor for Crockett – the most out of all #HLWBB newcomers.

Against Bradley, Crockett posted 10 points and a season-high tying 14 rebounds, marking her sixth double-double out of Cleveland State's 11 non-league contests. Crockett's six double-doubles is a league high, while she is the only #HLWBB freshman to notch a double-double so far this season.

Entering Horizon League play, Crockett is averaging a double-double on the season with 11.8 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Crockett ranks 10th among league players in scoring and leads the league in rebounding – one of just three players to rank in the top-10 in both categories.

Crockett also recorded three steals, two blocked shots and two assists against Bradley, finishing non-league play with a team-high 16 blocked shots on the season.

The Vikings will return to action next weekend, beginning Horizon League play at Oakland (Friday, December 28) and Detroit Mercy (Sunday, December 30).
