Under the direction of 15-year head coach Kate Peterson Abiad, the Cleveland State women's basketball team had one of its
best seasons in recent history during 2017-18, finishing the campaign with a 19-11 overall record
and notching multiple team and individual milestones along the way.

• The Vikings finished the season with a 19-11 overall record, marking the sixth 19-win season under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad.

• Cleveland State finished non-league play with an 8-3 record, marking the third time under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad that the Vikings
have notched eight wins during non-league action, while the .727 winning percentage was a program-best over the last 15 seasons.

• The Vikings notched an upset win against nationally ranked Green Bay in one of their final home games of the season,
earning a 71-60 victory against the Phoenix to mark Cleveland State's first win over Green Bay since the 2009-10 campaign
and the first win against Green Bay in the Wolstein Center since the 2001-02 season.

• Cleveland State finished the season with a 10-4 record when playing in the Wolstein Center,
with the 10 wins marking the seventh highest single-season win total at home in program history.

• The Vikings reached double-digit wins in Horizon League play for the sixth time over the last 11 seasons.

• The Vikings faced Louisiana Lafayette for the first time in program history during the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout,
picking up a 54-45 victory against the Ragin' Cajuns.

• Cleveland State recorded its first overtime game since 2015-16, picking up a 71-70 victory against Wright State
on January 25 to improve to 24-18 all-time in overtime contests.

• During the month of February the Vikings participated in the annual Play4Kay initiative,
wearing special pink jerseys for their two home games during the month.

• The Vikings traveled to seven different states during the season, with the longest trip of the year being 2,000+ miles to Las Vegas, Nevada.

• Ashanti Abshaw was named First Team All-League for the second straight season after leading the Vikings with 19.2 points per game
on 556 total points this season. Abshaw tallied 20+ points during 16 games, including a trio of 30-point performances.

• Khayla Livingston earned a spot on the All-League First Team for the first time in her career,
after finishing the season ranked in the top-five in scoring (17.5 ppg) and assists (4.0 apg) among league players.

• Shadae Bosley was named to the All-Defensive Team after averaging 1.9 blocks per game on 58 total blocked shots this season.
Bosley recorded at least one blocked shot in 21 games this season, including a season-high six blocks at Oakland.

• For the second time in program history the Vikings had three players on the same roster reach the 1,000-point milestone,
as Ashanti Abshaw, Khayla Livingston and Olivia Voskuhl all finished the season with 1,000+ career points.

• Khayla Livingston recorded her 1,000^th career point with an 18-point performance against Saint Louis
on November 24 in the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout.

• Olivia Voskuhl tallied her 1,000^th career point in the upset win over Green Bay on February 15,
finishing the game with 21 points on a 9-for-12 shooting performance.

• Ashanti Abshaw was the third member of the 1,000-point club, recording her 1,000^th point as a redshirt sophomore last season,
and finishing 2017-18 with 1,600+ points.

• After 15 seasons with the Vikings, Kate Peterson Abiad finished her tenure as the all-time winningest coach in program history with 206 wins.

• Peterson Abiad picked up her 200^th career win in a 71-70 overtime victory against Wright State, earning the milestone win on her birthday.

• Peterson Abiad became one of just two active Horizon League coaches to achieve 200+ wins at their current school.
