Opening Notes
The Vikings will conclude their dual portion of the schedule on Saturday with a tri-match in Lawrenceville, NJ. Cleveland State faces Rider in a MAC match at 10 a.m. and then Drexel at noon in a non-conference contest to conclude the regular season.
Last Time Out
Cleveland State defeated Bloomsburg 30-9 on Senior Day this past weekend. The highlight of the afternoon was Jake Manley knocking off No. 33 Cole Rhone, 6-4, at 133-pounds. At 157-pounds, No. 32 Marcus Robinson cruised past John Reho with a 17-0 technical fall.
About the Teams
Rider has won two straight matches and is 6-5 overall and 4-1 in the MAC. The Broncs have a busy weekend as they face George Mason on Friday and then the Vikings to open the Saturday tri-match. In their most recent outing, Rider defeated Clarion on the road, 25-12.
The Broncs have three guys in the NCAA midseason rankings: No. 29 McKenzie Bell (141 pounds), No. 22 Quinn Kinner (149 pounds), and No. 5 Ethan Laird (197 pounds).
Drexel has also lost consecutive matches and will enter with a 9-6 overall record, but is 5-1 on the road this season. In their most recent match at home against No. 24 Penn, the Dragons fell 28-6.

Series History

Cleveland State and Drexel will meet for just the fourth time, with the Dragons winning all three of the previous meetings. The last match came in 2008, with Drexel winning by a final score of 28-14.
