CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team will look to extend its four-match win streak this weekend, taking part in the DePaul Invitational on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25. The Vikings will face Eastern Kentucky, Army and the host Blue Demons throughout the two-day event.

Match #15 | vs. Army | Saturday, February 25

Through the first part of February the Vikings have posted a 6-1 record (8-4 overall this year), including a stretch of four-straight wins against Binghamton, Bryant, Niagara, and Ball State. This stretch of wins has given head coach Brian Etzkin 298 career victories with the CSU men's team, as he enters the weekend just two wins shy of 300 total men's victories for his head coach career.

Maxime Mareschal-Hay and Raul Teichmann also enter the weekend tracking down milestones, as both are closing in on 50 career singles victories. Mareschal-Hay, who has won eight straight singles matches, currently has 49 wins on his career, while Teichmann has 47 wins after winning his last seven singles matches.

Earlier this week Mareschal-Hay picked up his second straight Horizon League Singles Player of the Week honor, while Kade Mindry and Teichmann picked up their league-leading third Doubles Team of the Week accolade.

So far this season, Mareschal-Hay and Teichmann lead the Vikings with 14 singles wins, while Carl Gedlitschka has 12 and Mikael Erler has 11. Teichmann and Mindry are also the lone CSU doubles team with 10+ wins, entering the weekend with a 12-5 record on the year.

Cleveland State's three matches this weekend are part of a seven-match roadswing for the Vikings, as they will be away from the MMTP until the later part of March.
