Vikings Sweep #HLMTEN Weekly Awards
For the second straight week – and the third time this season – the Cleveland State men's tennis team swept the Horizon League Weekly Awards, as Nico Mostardi was named the Singles Player of the Week and Matthew Terry and Kade Mindry earned Doubles Team of the Week honors. Through the first four weeks of the spring season, Cleveland State has captured six out of the eight possible weekly awards.

Mostardi On CSU Singles Wins List
Following a 2-0 weekend at the top of the singles lineup, senior Nico Mostardi moved into a tie for fourth place on the CSU Singles Wins List and enters the weekend with 82 career victories. Mostardi, who owns a team-best 6-1 record this spring, picked up a three-set win at Xavier, and followed that up with a straight-set win over a ranked Louisville opponent. Mostardi now needs just five more wins to move into third place on the CSU Singles Wins List.

Terry Records 20thSingles Win
With a 7-6(4), 6-4 victory at Xavier last Saturday, junior Matthew Terry reached the 20-win mark for the season and enters the weekend with a team-best 20-5 overall record this year. Terry, who has now recorded 20+ wins in each of his three seasons as a Viking, notched his 20thwin in just 24 matches played. The straight-set win at Xavier also moved him into a tie for eighth place on the CSU Singles Wins List, as he currently has 73 career victories.

Terry & Mindry Remain Perfect This Spring
The Cleveland State doubles team of Matthew Terry and Kade Mindry remained undefeated this spring after picking up a pair of wins at No. 2 doubles last weekend. Terry and Mindry, who are now 6-0 this spring, notched a 6-4 win at Xavier and a 7-6(4) win at Louisville, helping the Vikings pick up the doubles point in both matches. Mindry, who joined the Vikings in January, has yet to lose a collegiate doubles match.

Head Coach Brian Etzkin
Brian Etzkin is in his 18thyear at the helm of the Vikings, owning a 256-180 dual match record. Last year, Etzkin guided the Vikings to their seventh Horizon League Tournament title and seventh trip to the NCAA Tournament, while helping the team earn the highest regional ranking in program history.
