Cleveland State Men's Soccer Adds Anthony Calleri

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State University head men's soccer coach Sinisa Ubiparipovic announced that Anthony Calleri has joined the team this spring.

Calleri is a defender that grew up in Akron, Ohio, and played his first two seasons at Bradley University. In that time, he played in 27 games with 22 starts on the backline. As a sophomore, he picked up two assists against UIC and scored his first collegiate goal against Drake.

Calleri attended Walsh Jesuit High School until turning his attention to Academy soccer. He served as the captain and was invited to a US Soccer Training Center. During his time, he played in more than 80 Academy/MLS Next games while leading Internationals Academy to a State Championship and a Top 25 national ranking during the 2019-20 season.
