THE OPENING KICK:
• Cleveland State will play its penultimate home match before hitting the road for its non-conference finale.
• CSU is 1-3-1 all-time against the Jaguars, winning a 2-1 decision last season with a goal in the final minute of regulation.
• All five matchups between the Viking and Jags have been decided by one goal or were tied. This will be the first time CSU hosts IUPUI in a HL match.
• Cleveland State won the inaugural meeting with Loyola (Md.) in 2017.
Antonio Burgoa, Brent Nanchoff and Noah Pio all had assists in the win.
• This will be the first time Cleveland State has ever played a DI team from Maryland on the road.

LAST TIME OUT:
Lawrence Karpeh scored a rocket in the first half and Zack Kluever scored the first of his career in the second half to give CSU a 2-0 win at Ohio State.
• Cleveland State scored three times in the final 25 minutes to rally from a 2-1 deficit and claim a 4-3 win at Pittsburgh.
Ben Hryszko's goal broke a tie with under six minutes to play.

FREE KICKS:
• While it took the fifth seed in 2017, CSU has been seeded fourth or better in the Horizon League Tournament in eight of the past 10 seasons, the highest figure in the League in this span.
• CSU's last two wins marked the first time since 1984 the Vikings won back-to-back matches against teams currently in a Power Five conference. It was the first time that it won two such matches on the road since 1974.
Vlad Jandric was named Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week Oct. 1 and Thomas M'Barek earned Defensive Player of the Week honors Oct. 8. It marked the first time since 2011 that Vikings were honored by the HL in back-to-back weeks.
Gabriel Pewu has four goals and an assist in the past six matches.
Noah Pio has six assists in the past six matches.
• Jandric's hat trick, in the 3-1 win over UIC, was the first by a Viking since Admir Suljevic achieved the feat during the 2013 campaign.
• Cleveland State's win over UIC ended a 12-match unbeaten run by the Flames against Horizon League opposition.
Noah Pio has a point in 12 of the past 22 matches, scoring in five of them. Pio was among the top 10 in points, goals and assists in HL play in 2017.
• This is the second straight season in which Cleveland State has played back-to-back matches on the road against Power Five sides (2017 - at Michigan, at Michigan State).
• Cleveland State has outshot its opponent in seven of its first 10 matches, including all four Horizon League fixtures.
• The Vikings are the only team to outshoot their opponent in every Horizon League match this season.
Noah Pio has scored or assisted on nine of CSU's last 13 goals in Horizon League matches.
• Among the 50 starts made by Vikings on defense or in goal this season: 23 starts have been made by true freshman or redshirt freshman, 25 starts have been made by sophomores with one start by a junior and one by a senior.
• Seven CSU rookies have started at least once with three freshmen owning 5+ starts (Alex Gyerman, Ryan Kolonick, Jannis Schmidt).
• With a 2-0 win at Ohio State, Cleveland State has now shut out a Power Five side in three of the past four seasons and six of the past nine.
• The Vikings allowed a single shot on goal in the win at Ohio State, the second time this season they yielded a lone shot on target (Bowling Green).
• Cleveland State's win at Pitt was its second against a top-40 RPI team in a span of 10 days.
