Weir Adds Frazier to Roster

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State Director of Golf and Head Men's Golf Coach Steve Weir has announced the addition of Mason Frazier to the team's 2020 roster.

"I couldn't be more excited to add golfer of Mason's caliber to our Viking golf family," stated Weir. "He's an all-around tremendous person and will be a great representation of Cleveland State University."

Frazier, a native of Wooster, Ohio, is set to graduate from Wooster High School this spring. A four-year letterman, Frazier has finished top three in the Ohio Cardinal Conference all four years, including being a state qualifier in 2016. As a senior, Frazier has a 37.4 stroke average, while his 18-hole low score is 71 and nine-hole low score is 33.

"Mason has continued to get better year after year and his competitive nature will add a lot to our program," said Weir. "He is a hard worker both in the classroom and on the course."

The recently signed Viking is a four-time all-conference selection, three-time district qualifier, two-time all-district selection, two-time state qualifier and two-time Lexington Invite individual champion.

In addition to his athletic accolades, Frazier is a two-time academic letter award recipient, as well as a participant of STAND during all four of his high school years and is a two-time Ohio Cardinal Conference Leadership Program participant.

Son of Jason Frazier and Michelle Frazier, he has one sister named Maddie.
