Vikings Begin Spring Season at Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Men’s Golf Tournament

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State Vikings men's golf team will begin its spring season on Monday (Feb. 24) at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament. The Vikings will compete in this two-day tournament, playing at the Arnold Palmer Signature Course – Wexford Plantation, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Cleveland State is one of 18 teams competing at the Wexford Intercollegiate. The other teams competing are as follows: Akron, Augusta, Charleston Southern, Cleveland State, Cornell, Dartmouth, Davidson, Dayton, Francis Marion, Furman, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Presbyterian, Radford, Temple, USC Aiken, Winthrop, Wofford

Tee times for Monday's first and second rounds begin at 8:15 a.m. (shotgun start). Tuesday's third round will also begin at 8:15 a.m. (shotgun start).

The Vikings, picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League Men's Golf Preseason Poll, will be led by juniors Jules Blakely, Zach Robbins and Zak Supelak.

Robbins returns after having a strong outing this past fall, notching a team-leading 72.2 average, with four finishes inside the top 10. A 2019 Second Team All-Horizon League selection, the Grand Rapids, Mich. native led the Vikings last season with a 74.6 average.

Sophomore Jack Hanus finished this past fall with three top 20 finishes, including one finish inside the top five, and an average of 73.9, good for second-best on the team.
