Krecic Named to Scholar All-America Team

NORMAN, Okla. – Cleveland State senior Anton Krecic (Columbia Station, Ohio / St. Edward) was named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar for Division I the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Wednesday.

Krecic was one of 266 players at the Division I level to receive the honor. To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically. In addition, they participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.

Krecic, who was also named to the Horizon League Men's Golf All-Academic Team in 2019, closed out his Cleveland State career this season and was third on the team with a 75.7 scoring average and carded a career-low round of at the Wildcats Invitational on April 9.

Krecic was a two-time All-Horizon League selection during his career and was the medalist at the 2017 Horizon League Championship. During his junior season he posted a career-best stroke average of 74.2 and was the runner-up at the Horizon League Championship.

During his career, he helped lead the Vikings to three Horizon League titles.
