OPENING TIP:
• The Vikings will begin the 2020 Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament on Tuesday at Oakland
• Coach Dennis Gates was named Horizon League Men's Basketball Co-Coach of the Year
• Junior forward Algevon Eichelberger was named to the All-League Third Team, announced Monday, March 2

• Cleveland State freshman guard Hugo Ferreira was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Feb. 24
• He recorded a career-high 14 points on 6-10 (.600) shooting from the field, including a 2-4 (.500) clip from three-point territory, to go along with three assists, three steals and two rebounds in 31 minutes against league-leading Wright State (Feb. 22)
• Cleveland State junior Torrey Patton was named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Jan. 6
• Patton had a career day in the Vikings 82-74 victory over Youngstown State
• He scored a career-high 25 points, grabbed a career-high eight rebounds and handed out a career-high six assists
• He finished the game 9-of-12 from the floor, 2-of-2 from the three-point line and 5-of-8 from the free throw line
THE CLUTCH GENE:
• Torrey Patton drilled the game-tying three-pointer against Wright State on Feb. 22 inside the Wolstein Center
• Two games later, Patton knocked down the game-winning triple in a league battle at Milwaukee (Feb. 27)
• Sophomore Tre Gomillion has two game-winning baskets for the Vikings this season
• He tipped in a missed shot at the buzzer giving the Vikings an 82-80 victory over IUPUI on Monday
• Gomillion also tipped in a missed shot with 10 seconds to play lifting the Vikings to a 47-46 win against UNC Wilmington

• Cleveland State enters the contest with a 11-20 overall record and a 7-11 record in the Horizon League
