A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics…

Men's Soccer
-The Vikings will continue Horizon League play with a pair of road games this week, traveling to IUPUI on Wednesday, September 28 and Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, October 1.
-Cleveland State went 1-0-1 in their two games last week, tying No. 15 Ohio State 0-0 and defeating Milwaukee 4-3
-After five weeks, Bojan Kolevski and Pablo Kawecki lead the league in points with 12, each scoring five goals and adding two assists. 

Women's Soccer
-Cleveland State will play a single game this week, traveling to Wright State on Saturday, October 1.
-The Vikings went 1-1-0 last week, highlighted by a 1-0 shutout against Northern Kentucky on Alumni Day, when CSU welcomed back 20+ alumni to Krenzler Field.
-Maddie Young scored the lone goal on the week for the Vikings, marking her team-leading fourth goal of the season. 

Volleyball
-Cleveland State will split its time at home and on the road this week, traveling to Robert Morris for a midweek match on Tuesday, September 27, before hosting Oakland on Saturday, October 1.
-Last time out, the Vikings went 1-2 to begin #HLVB play, including a five-set victory at Youngstown State in the league opener.
-With six digs against Wright State last Friday, senior Audrey McConihe eclipsed the 1,000-dig mark for her career, entering the week with 1,014 total digs. 

Cross Country
-After taking a week off from competition, the Vikings will return to action at the Notre Dame Invite on Friday, September 30. 
-Last time out, the Vikings participated in the All-Ohio Championships, paced by Hannah Korte who finished 14th among Division I runners with a 5K time of 19:11. 

Men's Golf
-Cleveland State will be back in action next week, when the Vikings host the annual Tom Tontimonia Invitational on Monday, October 3 and Tuesday, October 4 at Lakewood Country Club.
-Last time out, the Vikings finished seventh at the Valpo Fall Invitational, paced by Andrew Kaye who finished T-13 individually.
-Entering the week, Andrew Kaye leads the team with a 73.0 scoring average, while Jack Hanus owns a 73.8 scoring average on the year. 

Women's Golf
-The Vikings will have a few weeks off from competition, returning to action at the Rocket Classic Invitational on Monday, October 10 and Tuesday, October 11.
-Earlier this week, Cleveland State finished seventh at the Briar Ridge Invitational, with Sabrina Coffman (T-12) and Mandie Ruminski (T-19) both notching top-20 individual finishes.
-So far this season, the Vikings have combined for six top-20 individual finishes, including a T-2 finish from Sabrina Coffman at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational to begin the season. 

Men's Tennis
-Cleveland State will continue its fall season this weekend, participating in the ITA All-American Championships beginning on Saturday, October 1. 
-Mikael Erler and Maxime Mareschal-Hay have both earned spots in the Prequalifying Singles Draw, and will be trying for one of 16 qualifying spots into the Qualifying Singles Draw. 

Women's Tennis
-The Vikings will begin their 2022 fall slate this weekend, participating in the Michigan State Invitational Friday, September 30 – Sunday, October 2.
-Cleveland State returns six players from last year's #HLTennis Regular Season Championship team, and welcomes one freshman to the lineup.
-This weekend's tournament will be the first of five events for the Vikings this fall. 

Viking of the Week Nominees
Hector Gomez, Men's Soccer
Recorded two assists in the 4-3 victory over Milwaukee, marking his first assists of the season. 

Maddie Young, Women's Soccer
Scored the lone goal in the shutout victory against Northern Kentucky, marking her team-leading fourth goal of the year. 

Audrey McConihe, Volleyball
Recorded her 1,000th career dig against Wright State last weekend, finishing the first week of #HLVB play with 1,014 total digs.
