Men's Basketball
-Cleveland State (7-13, 3-4) will begin a four-game homestand this week, hosting Green Bay on Thursday, January 23 and Milwaukee on Saturday, January 25.
-Last time out, the Vikings played their only two road games during the month of January, falling at league-leading Wright State and Northern Kentucky.
-Algevon Eichelberger averaged 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game last week, while Torrey Patton recorded his third 20-point game of the season with 21 points at Wright State.
 
Women's Basketball
-Cleveland State (14-4, 4-3) will return home for two games this week, hosting Milwaukee on Friday, January 24 and Green Bay on Sunday, January 26.
-Friday's game against Milwaukee is set for an 11:00 a.m. tipoff, and will serve as Cleveland State's annual Kids Day Game.
-Last time out, the Vikings split their roadswing in the state of Michigan, falling at Detroit Mercy before picking up a 79-58 victory at Oakland.
-Mariah Miller averaged 20.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in the two-game swing, including a 24-point effort at Oakland.
 
Fencing
-Cleveland State will head to the DeCicco Duals, hosted by the University of Notre Dame, this Saturday, January 25.
-The CSU men notched a record of 6-5 this past weekend while the women went 6-4 in dual action.
-Both squads were competing at the Army Invitational and the Vassar Invitational.
-Sophomore Abigail Barr was awarded the Challenge Medal at the Army event by Purple Heart recipient Cpt. John Turnbull.
 
Men's Swimming & Diving
-Cleveland State will hit the road for dual meets at Michigan State and Oakland Friday, January 24, and Saturday, January 25.
-The Vikings were off from competition this past week and split dual meets with UIC two weekends ago.
-Sophomore Jack Krusinski was named HL Men's Swimmer of the Week on January 14.
 
Women's Swimming & Diving
-Cleveland State will hit the road for dual meets at Michigan State and Oakland Friday, January 24, and Saturday, January 25.
-The Vikings were off from competition this past week and were last in action at UIC January 10-11.
-Junior Alana Cartwright won three races over the course of two dual meets at UIC.
 
Wrestling
-Cleveland State will open up a three-match road trip with duals at SIU Edwardsville and nationally ranked Missouri this Friday, January 24, and Saturday, January 25.
-The Vikings dropped a tight, 19-13, dual to Ohio this past weekend in which CSU suffered a pair of one-point bouts that would have changed the outcome of the dual.
-Evan Cheek posted a 10-3 victory at 141 pounds over his top-20 opponent from Ohio.
-Justin Patrick tallied a victory via major decision over the Bobcats at 133 pounds.
 
Indoor Track & Field
-The Vikings will compete at the Spire Invitational this weekend, with action taking place on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25.
-Last time out, the Vikings had a strong showing at the YSU Collegiate Invitational, including a program record time of 1:18.81 in the 500 Meter Run by Anna Brandt.
 
Men's Tennis
-The Vikings will be idle until January 30, when they continue their spring slate at Penn State.
-Cleveland State opened its spring campaign with a 1-1 record last week, picking up a 5-2 victory over Toledo and dropping a hard fought match at Kentucky.
-Nico Mostardi moved into the top-10 on the CSU Doubles Wins List with a win at the No. 1 spot against Toledo, while Matthew Terry became the 10th Viking all-time with 70 career singles wins after picking up a win at No. 2 singles against the Rockets.
 
Women's Tennis
-Cleveland State will open the spring season with a single match this week, traveling to Western Michigan on Monday, January 20.
-Earlier this month, the Vikings were selected to finish second in the #HLWTEN Preseason Poll.
-The Vikings will be under the direction of second year head coach Frank Polito who led the Vikings to a 16-9 record last spring.

Viking Of The Week
Evan Cheek, Wrestling
Cheek produced a win over a top-20 opponent in the team's dual against Ohio this past weekend. He took down Shakur Laney, an opponent he lost to in overtime earlier this season, by a convincing 10-3 margin, which included four near-fall points. In doing so, he improved to 27-3 this season and remained undefeated in dual action.
