Men's Basketball
-Cleveland State (4-9) will open Horizon League play with a pair of road games this weekend, traveling to UIC on Saturday, December 28 and IUPUI on Monday, December 30.
-Last time out, the Vikings closed out their non-league schedule by hosting DePaul and traveling to East Tennessee State.
-Against DePaul, Tre Gomillion scored a team-high 15 points – all during the second half – as the Vikings took the one-loss Blue Demons down to the wire.
-At ETSU, Algevon Eichelberger recorded his third double-double of the season, finishing with a career-high 23 points and a career-high tying 13 rebounds.

Women's Basketball
-The Vikings (10-1) will begin their 18-game Horizon League slate at home this weekend, hosting UIC on Saturday, December 28 and IUPUI on Monday, December 30.
-Last time out, Cleveland State posted its program record 10th straight win in a 95-49 decision over Lake Erie, finishing its non-league schedule with a 10-1 record.
-The Vikings enter #HLWBB play with a perfect 3-0 record at home this season.
-Mariah Miller currently ranks ninth nationally averaging 21.4 points per game, while Mariah White ranks third nationally with 4.1 steals per game this season.

Wrestling
-Cleveland State will be off from competition this week before resuming action on New Year's Day at the Southern Scuffle.
-The Vikings claimed a 22-14 victory over George Mason in their first home MAC dual this past weekend.
-Logan Heil, DeAndre Nassar and Ben Smith all won with bonus points.
-Cleveland State has won its first four duals for the first time in 16 years.

Viking of the Week
Ben Smith, Wrestling
With CSU's dual deadlocked with George Mason, 14-14, Smith delivered a convincing win to help the Vikings inch toward victory. His 22-7 technical fall at 197 pounds provided Cleveland State with the lead and some margin for error entering the final bout. Smith improved to 16-5 on the season with the win and secured his 10th bonus-point win of the season.
