A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics…

Men's Soccer
-Cleveland State will open the week at Bowling Green on Tuesday (September 17) before hosting Northern Kentucky on Saturday (September 21).
-The Vikings dropped a 1-0 decision at Oakland in both programs' Horizon League opener this past weekend. 

Women's Soccer
-Cleveland State (2-4-2) will open Horizon League play this week, traveling to Green Bay on Friday, September 20.
-Last time out, the Vikings wrapped up non-league play with matches against Niagara and Canisius, with the Canisius match marking Senior Day for Briana Niedermeier, Bianca Sarti, Elaina Walnoha, Toni Dickson, Kailah Ransom and Sydney Hamker.
-Keeper Stevie Holbrook made seven saves in the double overtime tie against Niagara, marking her third shutout of the season.

Volleyball
-The Vikings will play in the friendly confines of Woodling Gymnasium for the first time during the 2019 campaign this weekend, welcoming Niagara and Kent State for a pair of matches on Friday, September 20.
-Last time out, the Vikings participated in the Bluegrass Battle, facing tough competition in No. 15 Kentucky, Indiana and FGCU.
-Lindsey Tout was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 5.27 digs per set to lead the Viking defense.

Cross Country
-Cleveland State will return to action at the All-Ohio Championship later this month, competing in the 6K race on Saturday, September 28.
-Through the first two races of the season, junior Anna Brandt has been Cleveland State's top finisher, including a season-best 5K time of 18:12 to finish fourth at the Tommy Evans Invitational.

Men's Golf
-The Vikings will return to action at the Davidson Fall Invitational next Monday and Tuesday, September 23-24.
-Cleveland State finished eighth overall at the Eastern Kentucky Intercollegiate last time out, led by Zach Robbins who finished third in the medalist chase after shooting 68-68-73.
-Robbins was the 36-hole leader with a four-under par 136, while Jonny Filler finished tied for 28th competing as an individual.

Women's Golf
-Cleveland State continues its fall slate at the Cardinal Classic this week, participating in the two-day tournament on Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17.
-The Vikings opened the season at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational earlier this month, recording a second place team finish.
-Madison Butler finished fifth individually, while Ashley Knight placed seventh.

Men's Tennis
-The Vikings will begin their fall schedule this weekend, participating in the Notre Dame Invitational Friday, September 20-Sunday, September 22.
-This will mark the first of five weekends on the fall lineup for the Vikings, who return six letterwinners from last year's Horizon League Championship squad.
-Cleveland State will be under the direction of Brian Etzkin, who enters his 18th season on the sidelines.

Viking Of The Week
Lindsey Tout, Volleyball
The sophomore was named to the Bluegrass Battle All-Tournament Team after averaging 5.27 digs per set to lead the Viking defense on the weekend. Tout combined for 58 total digs on the three matches, including back-to-back 20-dig efforts against Indiana and FGCU. Tout's 24-dig performance against the Eagles marked a career-high, and has now recorded 20+ digs four times this year.
