A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics...

Men's Basketball
- Cleveland State (2-7) returns home for a pair of games this week as it hosts Bowling Green Wednesday, December 5, and welcomes Notre Dame (Ohio) Sunday, December 9.
- The Vikings played well in dropping an 83-73 setback at DePaul to open last week and then came up on the short end of an 80-67 contest at Toledo.
- Sophomore Tyree Appleby averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists over the two games last week. 

Women's Basketball
- Cleveland State (3-5) will split its time at home and on the road this week, hosting Toledo on Wednesday, December 5 before traveling to Marshall on Saturday, December 8.
- Last time out, the Vikings dropped a 72-54 contest at Ohio, with Mariah Miller posting a team-high 15 points.
- Wednesday's game will be the first Cleveland State basketball doubleheader of the season, as the men's team will host Bowling Green following the women's game.

Men's Swimming & Diving
- Cleveland State closes the calendar year this weekend with a dual at Ashland Saturday, December 8.
- The Vikings are coming off winning the Magnus Cup as the squad set a school record for most points earned at the meet (1,871.5).

Women's Swimming & Diving
- Cleveland State closes the calendar year this weekend with a dual at Ashland Saturday, December 8.
- The Vikings last competed when they hosted the Magnus Cup, a meet that saw Lexie Kostelnik break the school record in the 1650 freestyle.
- Senior Molly McNamara also won the 200 butterfly at the Magnus Cup.

Wrestling
- Cleveland State will make its home debut this week as it hosts Otterbein in dual action Sunday, December 9, before traveling to John Carroll later the same day.
- Six Vikings placed at the Cougar Clash this past weekend as CSU competed at the bracket-style event.
- Senior John Vaughn posted a team-leading four wins at the event at 165 pounds. 

Indoor Track & Field
- After making their 2018-19 debut at the BGSU Opener last weekend, the Vikings will have a few weeks off from competition, returning to action at the Kent State Invite on Saturday, January 12.
- In the first meet of the indoor season, Cleveland State recorded four top-three finishes at the BGSU Opener, including Anna Brandt who won the Mile Run with a time of 5:08.60.

Viking Of The Week
Anna Brandt, Indoor Track & Field
The sophomore won the Mile Run at the BGSU Opener in the first meet of the 2018-19 campaign, crossing the finish line in a time of 5:08.60. Brandt's time marked a Cleveland State record in the event, while she became the third Viking to win an individual event during the indoor season over the last three years. Brandt was also part of the 4x400 Relay Team that placed fourth with a time of 4:20.56.
