Alanna Shamrock, former Cleveland State cross country runner, is in her first season as a student assistant coach with the program.
Shamrock was a four-year letterwinner with the Vikings, and finished her career with personal-best times of 19:49 (5K) and 24:18 (6K).
The Cortland, Ohio native also had a strong showing off the course, as she was named to the Cleveland State Dean’s List throughout her career, while also earning Athletic Academic Honors all four years. Last April, Shamrock was awarded the John and Sandra Konstantinos’s Scholarship – an honor that represents strong personal values and academic standards.
Shamrock is on course to graduate next Spring with a degree in nursing.
