Cleveland State Cross Country Posts Strong Finish At All-Ohio Championships

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team continued its 2022 slate Friday evening, participating in the All-Ohio Championships, with the 5K race being contested under the lights for the first time ever.

"We raced really well today, led by Hannah and Ariana who were both able to post college PR's," head coach Jason Hudson said. "Each week we are getting a little bit better, and I can't wait to see where we will end up by the end of the season. I'm really proud of how we ran the second part of the race today, and hopefully we will be able to carry this momentum into our next race."

For the third straight race, Hannah Korte paced the Vikings, as she posted a career-best 5K time of 19:11 to finish 14th overall.

Ariana Coats also recorded a career-best time on Friday, crossing the finish line in 19:57 to place 22nd overall.

The trio of Ana Crangle (25th – 20:02), Kiannah Sarver (27th – 20:14) and Madeline Crissman (28th – 20:21) also notched top-30 finishes for the Vikings, while Madelynn Madison crossed the finish line in 21:05 to finish 33rd and Emily Nemth placed 34th (21:09).
