Brandt Tabbed #HLXC All-Academic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2018 cross country All-Academic Team Wednesday afternoon, with Cleveland State sophomore Anna Brandt earning a spot on the eight-member team.

Brandt carries a 4.00 GPA pursuing a degree in health sciences/pre-physical therapy, and has been named to the Cleveland State Dean's List every semester of her collegiate career.

Throughout her sophomore season, Brandt broke both the 5K and 6K records at Cleveland State, recording a personal-best 5K time of 17:55 when she won the JennaStrong Fall Classic, and a personal-best 6K time of 21:43 at the Horizon League Championship.

Brandt was Cleveland State's top finisher during every race this season, including four top-five overall finishes. At the Horizon League Championship, Brandt placed third individually, marking the highest individual finish for a Viking at the #HLXC Championship in program history.

The Rocky River, Ohio native is a two-time First Team All-Horizon League honoree, and earned Freshman of the Year accolades last season.
