Brandt Named #HLXC First Team All-Horizon League

KENOSHA, Wis. – After pacing the Cleveland State cross country team with a third place individual finish at the 2018 Horizon League Championship, sophomore Anna Brandt was named First Team All-Horizon League.

Brandt, who set a program record with her third place individual finish at the #HLXC Championship, crossed the finish line in a program-best 6K time of 21:43. Her time of 21:43 bettered her previous school record by 13 seconds, and marked just the second sub 22-minute 6K time in program history.

This marks the second straight First Team All-Horizon League honor for Brandt, as she finished seventh at last year's championship to also pick up Freshman of the Year accolades.

Brandt is the first Viking all-time to become a two-time First Team honoree.

Throughout the 2018 season, Brandt has been Cleveland State's top finisher in all five races, and has set the program record on both the 5K and 6K courses.
