Hall & Dohar Sweep #HLVB Weekly Honors

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After leading the Cleveland State volleyball team to a 2-0 start in Horizon League play last weekend, the Viking duo of Trinniti Hall and Rachael Dohar have been named the Horizon League Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. This marks the first weekly honors for the Vikings this season.

Last weekend, Hall and Dohar led Cleveland State to a pair of 3-0 sweeps over Youngstown State and Oakland, opening #HLVB play with a 2-0 record for just the fourth time under head coach Chuck Voss.

Offensively, Hall combined for 25 kills on the weekend, averaging 4.17 kills per set on a .426 hitting percentage. The junior recorded nine kills against Youngstown State and then followed that up with a 16-kill performance at Oakland. Hall's 16 kills at Oakland came on a .519 clip – just shy of tying her career-best in the category. Hall also added a team-best 11 total blocks on the weekend.

Dohar led the Viking defense in last weekend's 2-0 #HLVB start, averaging 7.50 digs per set in the two victories. Playing as Cleveland State's libero, Dohar finished with 27 digs against YSU and 18 at Oakland, with the 27-dig performance marking her fifth 20+ dig match of the year.

For the season, Dohar ranks second among Horizon League players averaging 5.12 digs per set, while Hall ranks eighth averaging 2.80 kills per set.

The Vikings will continue Horizon League play at home this weekend, hosting Northern Kentucky at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28 and Wright State at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29.
