Vikings Fall To Wright State On Alumni Day

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team fell to 2-2 in Horizon League play Saturday afternoon, dropping a 3-1 contest against Wright State. On the season, the Vikings are now 9-6 overall and 2-2 in league play.

Alumni Day
· Saturday's match was Alumni Day for the Vikings, with over 20 alums in attendance.

Match Stats
· Sara Skeens led the Viking offense with 17 kills, while Alexis Middlebrooks added 13 kills.
· Gina Kilner tallied 47 assists on the match.
· The Viking defense was led by the trio of Shannon Grega (23 digs), Jordan Verbiak (16 digs) and Emily DeGeorge (11 digs).
· Mariah Carrero-Johnson tallied a team-best six blocks, while Sara Skeens added four and Alexis Middlebrooks posted three.

· With 23 digs against Wright State Shannon Grega moved into sixth place in the CSU Career Record Book with 1,205 career digs.
· Gina Kilner became the fifth Viking all-time to record 3,800 career assists, as she finished the match with 3,839 helpers.
