CLEVELAND, Ohio – For the third time in program history, and the second time on its home court, the Cleveland State volleyball team captured the Horizon League Championship. The top-seeded Vikings posted a 3-0 victory over No. 3 Valparaiso, clinching the 2015 Horizon League Tournament Title.

2015 Horizon League Champions!
· Cleveland State captured its third tournament title in program history – also picking up tournament honors during the 2007 and 2012 season.
· This marked the second time that Cleveland State has captured the tournament crown on its home court, also doing so during the 2012 season.
· Earlier this season the Vikings also claimed the 2015 Horizon League Regular Season title – marking the second time under head coach Chuck Voss that the Vikings have captured both the regular season and tournament titles (2012).
· Cleveland State now owns a 16-13 record in Horizon League Tournament play under Voss.

2015 Horizon League All-Tournament Team
· Alexis Middlebrooks was named the Horizon League Tournament MVP after posting 23 kills and 14 blocks in CSU's two tournament matches.
· Dayna Roberts was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the Viking defense with 27 digs against Northern Kentucky and Valparaiso this weekend.
· Grace Kauth earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after posting 27 kills, averaging a team-best 3.38 kills per set, along with 24 digs in the two tournament matches.

2015 Horizon League Championship Match Stats
· Grace Kauth posted her 17th double-double with a team-high 14 kills and 12 digs.
· Christina Toth notched 10 kills on a .375 hitting percentage.
· Gina Kilner recorded 35 assists on Cleveland State's 42 kills.
· Dayna Roberts posted a team-high 14 digs.
· Alexis Middlebrooks posted six blocks, including two solo blocks.
· Aaliyah Slappy and Rachel Stover each added four blocks.
· As a team, Cleveland State posted 12.0 blocks against Valparaiso – its 15th double-digit block match of the season.

Cleveland State Match Notes
· With the win today, Cleveland State tied its program record for wins in a single-season under Voss, owning a 26-6 record.
· The Vikings became the fifth team in program history to eclipse 1,700 kills in a season, ranking fourth on the CSU single-season record book with 1,736 kills.
· Cleveland State also became the fourth team in program history to surpass 300 total team blocks, ranking fourth with 303.5 team blocks.
· The Vikings became the fourth team in program history to pass 1,600 assists, ranking fourth with 1,617 helpers.
