Vikings Fall To Oakland On Senior Day

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Despite a solid team effort, the Cleveland State volleyball team dropped just its second match in Horizon League play Saturday afternoon, falling to Oakland 3-1 on Senior Day. With the loss, the Vikings are now 22-5 on the season and 11-2 in league action.

· Christina Toth led the Viking offense with 15 kills – her 16th 15-kill match of the season.
· Grace Kauth tallied a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs.
· Alexis Middlebrooks recorded 13 kills and a team-high five blocks.
· Nikki Holmes notched a team-high 18 digs to lead the Viking defense, with Dayna Roberts adding 13 digs.
· Gina Kilner posted 41 assists on Cleveland State's 50 kills.

· This marked just the second loss in league play for the Vikings this season, as CSU now stands at 11-2 in Horizon League play.
· With her 13 digs today, Dayna Roberts now ranks fifth in the CSU career record book with 1,139 digs.
· Nikki Holmes also moved up the CSU career digs list, ending the match ranked seventh with 1,111 digs.
· Gina Kilner became the eighth Viking all-time to eclipse the 1,700 assist mark, ending the match with 1,701 helpers.
