Track & Field Set To Open Indoor Campaign At YSU Icebreaker

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will begin its 2022-23 indoor season this weekend, participating in the YSU Icebreaker on Friday, December 2. 

Friday's meet will mark the first of nine competitions for the Vikings during the indoor campaign, and will be one of just two events before the end of the calendar year.  

The YSU Icebreaker is slated to get underway at 1:00 p.m. and will follow a rolling time schedule. Fans can follow along with LIVE RESULTS

Cleveland State will be one of 32 teams participating in Friday's meet, including Horizon League opponents Robert Morris and the host Penguins.  

The Vikings return 11 letterwinners for the 2022-23 campaign, and will welcome 15 newcomers for the upcoming season. Cleveland State will be under the direction of head coach Jason Hudson, who will be entering his second season at the helm of the track & field team. 

Cleveland State's indoor schedule leads up to the 2023 #HLTF Indoor Championships, which will be hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26.
