Cleveland State Track & Field Opens #HLTF Outdoor Championships

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Cleveland State track & field team opened up action at the 2022 #HLTF Outdoor Championships Friday, competing in the Javelin, 1,500 and 10,000 Meter Runs.

Cleveland State recorded a pair of top-15 finishes in the 10,000 Meter Run on Friday, as Kiannah Sarver recorded a personal-best time of 39:53.76 to finish 11th and Ariana Coats notched a time of 42:17.78 to finish 13th in her first collegiate 10,000 Meter Run.

Brooke Armbruster competed in Cleveland State's lone field event for the weekend, placing 16th in the Javelin with a mark of 16.58.

Emily Nemeth and Madelynn Madison represented the Vikings in the 1500 Meter Run Prelims on Friday, Nemeth notching a personal-best time of 5:07.55 and Madison recording a time of 5:20.37.

Action at the #HLTF Outdoor Championships will continue tomorrow, with running events slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
