Cleveland State Track & Field Has Strong Showing At Oliver Nicoloff Invite

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team had a strong showing at the Oliver Nicoloff Invite Saturday, posting six personal-best times through eight races.

"We had a great day today – It's amazing what happens when we get some good weather to compete in. We are starting to hit our stride as the season progresses and I'm very excited to see how this group continues to develop as the outdoor season continues," head coach Jason Hudson said.

Cleveland State had four representatives in the 1500 Meter Run Saturday, with all four Vikings recording college-best times. Kiannah Sarver paced the group with a time of 5:08.71, while Hannah Korte (5:12.16), Emily Nemeth (5:12.48), and Ariana Coats (5:26.00) also participated in the race.

In the 800 Meter Run, Margaret Smith posted a college-best with a time of 2:20.03, just barely missing the 2:20.00 mark.

Colette Conway posted Cleveland State's best individual finish of the day in the 400 Meter Hurdles, placing 20th overall with a time of 1:16.01.

Zoe Dellaserra was the final Viking to compete on Saturday, posting a time of 27.02 in the 200 Meter Dash, while also participating in the 100 Meter Dash (13.09).

Cleveland State's outdoor campaign will continue next Saturday (April 9) at the Hillsdale Invite.
