Brandt Named To Outdoor #HLTF All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Teams Wednesday afternoon (May 27), with Cleveland State junior Anna Brandt earning a spot on the 16-member team.

Brandt picks up her sixth Track & Field or Cross Country All-Academic Team honor, as she continues to pursue a degree in health sciences/pre-physical therapy. The Rocky River, Ohio native finished the 2020 spring semester with a 4.00 cumulative GPA, and was named to the Cleveland State Dean's List earlier this month for the sixth time during her collegiate career.

Although the outdoor track & field season was cancelled due to COVID-19, Brandt was entering the outdoor campaign as the Cleveland State record holder in the 400 Meter Hurdles, 800 and 1500 Meter Run.

During the indoor portion of the 2019-20 track & field season, Brandt set program records in the 500, 800, Mile, and 3000 Meter runs, while she was named All-League Honorable Mention in the 800 and Mile events.

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with Academic All-League honors in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Academic All-Horizon League consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point averaged of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale) and have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits.
