Vikings Finish Strong At Fred Hardy Invitational

RICHMOND, Va. – The Cleveland State track and field team wrapped up action at the Fred Hardy Invitational Saturday, led by Tylar Mixon who set a program record in the 200 Meter Dash.

Sprints
Cleveland State's best sprint finish came in the 100 Meter Hurdles, as Monica Johnson and Mijah Collier finished second and third, respectively, with a time of 14.82. Johnson also had Cleveland State's top finish in the 100 Meter Dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 12.61 to finish sixth.

Tylar Mixon recorded a program record in the 200 Meter Dash, finishing fifth overall with a time of 25.34.

Mid-Distance
The Vikings had four runners in the 800 Meter Run Saturday, with Deja Emmanus pacing Cleveland State with a 15th overall finish in a time of 2:20.78.

Caprece Conrad was the lone Viking in the 400 Meter Dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 1:04.18 to finish 15th overall.

Distance
Graicen Riley and Abbey Rojeck both represented the Vikings in the 3000 Meter Run, Riley finishing 15th overall in a time of 11:08.14, and Rojeck placing 20th in 11:47.60.

Relays
Cleveland State's best relay finish came in the 4x100 Meter Relay, as the quartet of Tylar Mixon, Mijah Collier, Monica Johnson, and Hannah Gaskins finished second in a time of 47.59, which was just shy of setting a program record.

The Vikings also finished third in the 4x800 Meter Relay, as the team of Heather McArdle, Lily Michael, Grace Holmes, and Julianne Dorothal finished in 10:25.35, while Cleveland State's top team in the 4x400 Meter Relay finished fifth in 4:07.00.

Field
The Vikings competed in the Javelin on Saturday, with Julianne Dorothal leading the Vikings with a seventh place finish with a mark of 34.18 – setting a program record. Hannah Gaskins placed 11th with a mark of 28.94, while Lauren Zawie recorded a mark of 21.59 to finish 15th.
