INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following a record-setting performance at the Marshall Women's Classic last weekend, sophomore Anna Brandt has been named the Horizon League Runner of the Week. This marks the first weekly accolade for Brandt during the Indoor Track & Field season. 

Brandt posted a Cleveland State record time of 2:14.75 in the 800 Meter Run, placing third overall, and topping the previous meet record in the event. This time also marked the fastest time among Horizon League runners so far this season, while Brandt is the first runner to break 2:15 in the event during the 2018-19 campaign.

Brandt was also part of Cleveland State's top 4x400 Meter Relay team that posted a time of 4:10.13 – marking a season-high in the event and the third fastest time in program history.

The Vikings will continue their indoor season this weekend, participating in the YSU Collegiate Invitational on Friday, January 18.
