CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team continued its outdoor season Saturday, competing in the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.
Cleveland State's best individual finish came from Chan'lier Myers in the 100 Meter Dash, as she finished fourth with a time of 12.61. Myers also finished sixth in the 200 Meter Dash crossing the finish line in 26.16 to lead the Vikings.
The Vikings also had a trio of eighth place finishes from Briah Owens, Lauren Zawie and Jessica White, as Owens placed eighth in the 100 Meter Dash (12.75), while Zawie recorded her eighth place finish in the 400 Meter Dash (1:05.65) and White posted her eighth place finish in the 400 Meter Hurdles (1:18.87).
In the field events, White placed 14th in the long jump with a mark of 4.34, while Julianne Dorothal also placed 14th in the shot put with a final mark of 10.64.
In their lone relay event on the day, the Vikings finished fourth in the 4x100 Relay, with Tylar Mixon, Myers, Zawie, and Owens crossing the finish line in a time 49.65.
The Vikings will return to action next weekend, taking part in the Bob Kahn Invitational in Oberlin, Ohio.
