Vikings Set Multiple Personal & School Records At 2018 #HLTF Indoor Championship

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team finished its indoor season Sunday, wrapping up an excellent weekend at the 2018 Horizon League Indoor Championship, which included multiple personal and school records and podium finishes.

After earning a spot in the 800 Meter Run final with a personal best time in the prelims yesterday, Anna Brandt finished seventh in the finals, posting a time of 2:19.29 to score for the Vikings. Brandt also recorded a personal record in the Mile Run Sunday, finishing 11th with a time of 5:14.24.

Also earning points for the Vikings on the final day of the championship was Rachel Wenzel in the High Jump, as she placed eighth with a mark of 1.53.

In the 3,000 Meter Run, Jessica Finley and Kylie Scott both recorded personal-best times by more than 20 seconds, with Finley placing 11th in a time of 10:25.51 and Scott finishing 32nd with a mark of 11:11.66.

Cleveland State will now take a few weeks off from competition before opening its outdoor season at the William & Mary Tribe Invitational on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17.
