Head Track & Field Coach Madeleine Outman To Compete At USATF Indoor Track & Field Championships

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State head track and field coach Madeleine Outman will return to competition herself this weekend, as she has qualified for the 600 Meter Run at the 2017 USATF Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The three-day championship will take place from Friday, March 3 through Sunday, March 5 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Outman is one of 17 individuals that qualified to run in the 600 Meter event, qualifying with a time of 1:32.37, beating the industry standard of 1:33.00. In order to qualify, participants must also be ranked among the top-20 runners in the USA in the specific event.

USATF INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP 600m ENTRY LIST

The First Round of the 600 Meter Run will take place at 8:20 p.m. EST on Saturday, March 4. Outman will compete in the first of three heats in the First Round, with the top six times advancing to the Finals on Sunday, March 5.

This weekend's 600 Meter Run marks the fifth event that Outman has qualified to compete in at the National level, as she has previously competed in the 60m Hurdles, 400 Meter Run, Pentathlon, and 400m Hurdles.
