CLEVELAND - Cleveland State women's tennis coach Teresa Baker has announced the addition of Irina Strembitsky to the team's roster. Strembitsky is currently enrolled at CSU and will begin competing in the 2001 Spring season.

Strembitsky is a local and regional stand-out at the junior tournament and high school level of competition. She was the girls' state champion in 1997 as freshman, state qualifier in 1998, 1999, and qualified for the boys' state tournament in doubles representing Mayfield High School. She was ranked 7th in the 1999 USTA Midwest Section (covering 5 states) Girls' 18 and under age division.

"We are extremely fortunate to have Rena on our roster," said Baker. "She is an outstanding athelete and it will help us in really capitalizing on the tennis talent here in Northeast Ohio."
