CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's tennis team added depth to next season's squad as the Vikings inked Catrine Bjerrehus to join the squad. Head coach Brian Etzkin made the announcement on Thursday (April 24).

Bjerrehus, an accomplished junior player, was ranked as high as No. 5 in Denmark in the Under 18 division. Last year she finished second at the Danish Championships and won the double's title in the Under 18 division. In addition, she has won the Mixed Double's and Double's title at the Danish Championships the past two years.

"I am very excited that Catrine is our newest Viking tennis player and cannot wait for her to arrive to campus," Etzkin said. "She will make an impact in singles and doubles immediately."

The No. 4 seeded Vikings face No. 9 Valparaiso to begin the Horizon League Championship on Friday, April 25 at 1:00 p.m.
