INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Cleveland State women's tennis team fell to Detroit, 4-3, in the third place match at the Horizon League Championship on Sunday morning. The Vikings concluded their season in fourth place at the League Championship and 18-9 overall.

After dropping the doubles point, The Vikings won three singles matches. Senior Jenn Myers capped off her CSU career with a win at No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 6-4 over Annie Moore. Gibbons won 6-1, 6-2 over Erin Weldon at No. 5 singles, finishing the season undefeated against Horizon League opponents. Sophomore Denisa Muntean defeated Kelly Davis, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

"We came out today looking for revenge on Detroit from our loss earlier this season," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "The difference today was the doubles point, something we will continue to work on for next season. We had some good wins, especially senior Jenn Myers winning in her last collegiate match."

The Vikings return five letter-winners from this season's team.
