CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's tennis team swept Wright State, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Malaga Tennis Center to improve to 13-11 overall and 5-1 in the Horizon League.
WSU fell to 7-11 overall and 0-4 in league matches.
The Vikings swept through the doubles matches with ease, dropping just four games on the afternoon. Catrine Bjerrehus and Charlotte Gibbons won at No. 1 doubles, 8-2, while Nicole Janek and Maria Lazaris (No. 2) and Sanda Bjelan and Mengdi Liu (No. 3) both won by 8-1 counts.
The Vikings won all six singles contests in straight sets.
CSU concludes its home season on Sunday morning when the Vikings host Butler at 10:00 a.m. at River Oaks Racquet Club.
