CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State won five of six singles matches and the doubles point and controlled play throughout in a 6-1 win over Wright State on Saturday at River Oaks Racquet Club.

After CSU won two of three doubles matches, the Vikings took five singles contests in straight sets. Junior Lindsay Sellers led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Monica Capozziello at No. 5 singles while freshman Denisa Muntean, junior Jenn Myers and sophomore Kristin Chamberlain all won by large margins.

"We controlled the match and it was never in doubt," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "With the way we played against UIC (on Friday), it was definitely a good weekend for us."

Freshman Charlotte Gibbons also won adding a 7-6 (6), 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. Senior Sarah Galon nearly made it a shutout, winning her first set at No. 1 singles and leading for most of the second set before losing a close match in three sets.

The Vikings travel to UW-Milwaukee on Friday, April 13.
