TOLEDO, Ohio -- The CSU women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at Toledo Saturday afternoon, bringing their record to 5-5 overall.

The Vikings have struggled to find their footing on the road this spring, only scoring two points combined as a visiting team. All five wins for Cleveland State have come on its home court.

Myra Pepino and Sanda Bjelan pulled away with the only victory against Toledo at third doubles, defeating Melissa Reynolds and Jenny Belsky, 8-7(5).

Jackie Tabb was also able to extend her match to a third set tiebreaker before falling to Nadia Zoubareva at No. 4 singles.

"Sanda looked especially sharp in her doubles win with Myra, and Jackie has been looking better each day since she has returned from her injury," said CSU head coach Brian Etzkin. "Still, it was disappointing that we got shutout because I think that we are a better team than the results show.

"Although we are not yet into mid-season form like many teams are, we have good energy amongst the team and we are practicing better than ever."

Cleveland State will look to continue its success at home Friday, March 6, against IPFW at 7:00 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Sunday, March 8, against Oakland and Dayton, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

"Hopefully we will be able to get back on the winning track against Ft. Wayne and start to see some very positive things in the near future."
