CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's tennis team closed out its current five-match homestand Saturday, dropping a 7-0 match against Xavier.
Despite dropping the doubles point, the Cleveland State tandem of Tereze Vevere and Ella Franz was able to pick up a 7-5 victory over Xavier, improving to a team-best 19-3 overall this season.
In singles, Sima Heren was able to force her match to three sets, before falling in a third-set tiebreaker, 11-9.
Next up for the Vikings will be a match at Miami (OH) on Saturday, March 9.
